Sarangani Province Beaches

Have you ever been to the southern part of Mindanao? How about the remote beaches of the south? Those beaches not yet known to the populace and not yet developed for big time tourism. I did! I stayed for a couple of nights here and tried to blend in with the DO's as well as the DONT's.

For those who didn't know Sarangani, shame on you. This province is popularized in the world by our very own PACMAN. Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao is the congressman of this province. Wala lang ko kabalo kung unsay district. Kung wala gihapun mo kabalo, please google it. You could always halungkat your grade 3 stuff and find yourself a map. Go do the rest.

Traveling time from Davao City to Glan would be around 4 hours considering you have to pass Digos, Davao del Sur and General Santos City to reach here. Peaceful man ang area considering naa pa daw mga NPA scattering the province. I am not sure with this but my stay was a lot peaceful than I would've imagined. Talking about peace, dili na ko mu comment once you reach Cotabato City. Every week is like New Year's Eve there. Kaso lang dili fire crackers ang ga buto. People there die too. Enough of that, let's talk about Glan. Glan is 30 minutes away from General Santos City. It is a dry place. The heat is tolerable yet the place lack the very definition of a cool breeze. Indeed, a very dry place. Even ang dagat walay cool breeze bisag gabii. May nalang aircon akong gi katulgan. Virgin kaayo ang ilang white beach. You can always say that natural siya and wala gihakot. hahahahah! Wala sad bato ilang dagat. You can see it in the pics. Crystal Clear ang tubig. I can even say that this beach is much cleaner than Boracay. hahahaha!!

No sea weeds too. Walay problema ang beach owners regarding keeping the beach clean because it is naturally clean! The sun sets at sea. Picturesque kaayo ang sunset. Kaso lang poor kaayo ko. Wala ako cam. I begged my girlfriend to borrow cam. Grabe ka pangit!! Camera is a necessity if you are a traveling dude! Required jud sya! Sayang na lang ang mga moments diha! Bwahahaha! Sus, niwang pa jud kaayo ko ani as compared to karun! Haha! Anyways, one day ra man ko dadto kai layo pa kaayo ko sa akong home town CDO!!! Imagine my travel time after that.

One thing that we need to take into consideration is that. The beach in Glan area doesn't stay up late. Mga 8pm bawal na ang mga noise. It goes to tell us that there are still insurgents within the area. NPAs. Sad to say that the beauty of the area are still infested with these rebels. No wonder no long term tourism plans are at work with the area. Well, it's okay. I've been there and it was a blast. I was still with the CBC Davao peeps on this tour.

If my memory serves me right, I think this laag was dated on the summer of 2009. I could not recall the exact date but definitely it was summer. I love the beach just don't let me swim at it. Next time I will buy a good camera to capture every great angle of my escapades within my country. Well, that's all. I am ending my rants. Until the next episode of getting lost within the Philippines, Mabuhay!
